Religion & Ethics

At Cronulla Public School, our Special Religious Education (SRE) classes are held for 30 minutes on Wednesdays. Special Religious Education classes K-6 are: Catholic and Combined Protestant.

On enrolment parents/carers are given the SRE participation letter to complete and return.

After the initial enrolment, notification of changes to a child’s enrolment in SRE should be given to the school in writing.

The following SRE classes are offered at Cronulla Public School:

Catholic SRE is provided by the Catholic Diocese of Sydney.

Combined Protestant SRE is provided by the combination of the Anglican Diocese of Sydney, the Baptist Union of NSW, the Churches of Christ NSW, the Fellowship of Congregational Churches and the Australian Christian Churches. The Combined Protestant SRE use the Anglican curriculum.

During the time that SRE classes are being held, students not attending will be located in a separate space and will participate in meaningful activities. Activities could include reading and private study.
